GOD'S ROAD MAP TO HEAVEN
Man begins his Journey....
on the Road
to
find fame, fortune, wealth, and success.
But the real question is what will this road lead you to?
Have you ever lied, stolen, hated, cheated,
used God's Name in vain?
The Bible tells us you are disqualified for
heaven if you have ever sinned. See Romans
3:19-20
Only Perfect People can enter Heaven. "Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect." Matthew 5:48
The Problem is we are not perfect, and not fit for heaven.
"There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death." Proverbs 14:12
The Bible tells us.....
"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23
Sin means missing the mark. We have missed God’s standard of righteousness for heaven.
Yet man takes a Detour to try other paths to find forgiveness,
righteousness and assurance for heaven.
Man tries the path of a: .......
Good Person
Good Deeds Good Intentions
Religious Devout
Spiritual Traditional
Agnostic Atheist
The problem with all these paths,
NONE will forgive your sins.
And we still get the consequences of our sins.
The Bible tells us...
"For the wages of sin is death...." Romans 6:23
Bridge OUT!
God’s
Judgement & Hell
If we could gain heaven any other way, Christ died on the cross needlessly.
Imperfect people,
need a Savior to forgive their sins.
The Bible gives us a Road map to Heaven.
It is Through Jesus alone
"Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved."
Acts 4:12
"Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life, No one comes to the Father except through Me." John 14:6
Jesus died on a cross for your sins
and rose from the dead. He is alive and can be your Savior.
" the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 6:23
The COST
- WE REPENT of our sins
"...God ... now commands all men everywhere to repent, because He has appointed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by the Man whom He has ordained. He has given assurance of this to all by raising Him from the dead.."
Acts 17:30-31
It's like making a U-Turn on the road.
WE FOLLOW JESUS
Jesus said "If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me." Luke 9:23
This is a commitment that one follows Jesus no
matter where He goes, whatever He ask,
surrendering our life to Him
- WE CALL ON JESUS TO SAVE US
"For whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved." Romans 10:13
You must ask the Lord Jesus to be Your Lord.
- WE TRUST IN JESUS
"that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."
Romans 10:10:9-10
Jesus knocks on your heart
"Behold I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me." Revelation 3:20
What would stop you from receiving the Lord Jesus Christ
BY FAITH,
turning FROM YOUR SIN,
calling upon the LORD JESUS to save you,
SURRENDERING your life to Him,
and FOLLOWING HIM right now?
You are only One Prayer Away from going to Heaven.
"For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world,
and is himself destroyed or lost?"
Luke 9:26
If you make this life decision to follow Jesus as the Lord of your life,
He PROMISES YOU:
- ETERNAL LIFE
"And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand." John 10:28
- FORGIVENESS OF SINS
"To Him all the prophets witness that, through His name, whoever believes in Him will receive forgiveness of sins." Acts 10:43
- PEACE
"Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." John 14:27
WE KNOW AND GROW IN JESUS BY
*follow Jesus in Baptism "He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned."
Mark 16:16
*Obey Him. "Jesus said, ...If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word;..." John 14:23
*read the Bible, prayer and church attendance
*meet with other believers in fellowship
